I live in North Texas (Anna) and would be interested in meeting a Buffy player. I have lots of cards, but never really learned the game. Let me know if you would be interested in doing some teaching, and perhaps we could get some games in.

Except for a few scattered outliers almost everyone remaining in the Buffy community knows each other personally. We have a big event every June called Weekend of Buffy in which we all get together. It's held in Waterloo, IA. The new board should have info about this coming years event sometime in the near future if you're interested in attending.

I don't have skype myself so I don't know that I can help. You might try posting on the new board as i think 90% of the people left this one after it was down for 2-3 months.

well the game is loaded into the program, just need a few people to test it out. It has all the cards from the three sets I believe. So we need two testers.

They will need to download the program and have Skype to voice chat. I would step up, but I've played the game twice. I'd rather have two experienced players go at it.

I have figured out a way with a program to play BUFFYCCG online. Would people be willing to do that?

I have all the images needed so far, I just have to adjust the plugins for the game...

I was dissapointed that I received no viable compatible cross-aligned cards, when usually I am complaining that all my stuff is too mixed to manage.

I would have killed for just one evil challenge that I could have done, after all, I was playing Willow.

For the first time, all my cards mixed well, but we specifically requested a format where that wouldn't be an issue. Go figure.

I love this idea, Krista! I think we'd be able to see a lot of different decks and cards played -- different from the usual Sealed Deck goodies we typically run into. And I like the idea that EVERYONE could get ANYTHING (i.e. Bizzarro Sun, etc.). We might have to try this over here soon!

We tried a new format for sealed deck tournaments on Sunday - Sealed Deck Betrayal! As in regular Betrayal, you can include characters of both alignments in your deck, and all characters can face both good and evil challenges.

Half way through our deck building session, I realized that to get the full potential of this variant, you shouldn't pair Wish Theme decks and starter decks according to alignment as we traditionally do. It would work better, in fact, if you cross-paired them: an evil and a good deck, plus the random boosters.

As it was, I think my deck was typical - I only included 1 or 2 good characters in my evil deck (Wesley!), but did include 3 good challenges. It should also help the viability of decks when you're dealing with a more limited set of cards to build from. And it gives everyone the possibility of getting Bizzarro Sun Cinema.

In this tournament everyone had a Wish Theme deck, a Class of 99 starter, 3 Angel's Curse boosters and 3 Class of 99 boosters.

I feel compelled to report that for the first ever tournament of this format, the winner was Vamp Xander! (As played by yours truly. A hard-fought victory it was indeed.)
